He doesn't have an instrument, and singing effectively while fighting just didn't seem plausible, so I've determined he must recite slam poetry.

It's a bit oversized. He's a half-elf wearing a human-sized breastplate, which looks doubly silly on top of the rest of his plain, cloth armor.
