This summer, my brother, who is an amateur tabletop game designer, completed the beta version of his cornerstone game, Collision. He ran official events for it at GenCon this year, which is the biggest tabletop gaming convention in North America, and will be releasing a PDF of the core rules for free when his official website launches on the 31st. I'll try to remember to update this description with a link, but you can check out his wordpress blog here in the meantime!
I donated some significant art assets to his project, which goes to show how much I believe in the quality of his games. This is the cover art for the core rules. I tried some new techniques with this, and it took a VERY LONG TIME because of it, but I think the end result was worth the hassle.
Drawn in Paint Tool SAI, touched up in Photoshop CS3.
This is so exquisite, what a tremendous job you've done here. I've always loved your artwork, but this has to be my favorite. I would love to buy a print of this.
Gorgeous! I love the palette, the rendering style, the composition... aw what the hell, I can't even analyze it, I just LOVE this picture. It has that indefinable quality that get's my heart a-poundin'!
I know I've told you this before, but this is lovely! The glowing is great and the detail is also wonderful! (And I bet your brother is super proud of it too) Best wishes to the success for you both and the game!
This is absolutely beautiful work, I love the watercolour-ish quality the graininess and muted colours give it; a little reminiscent of Tolkein's watercolours. I love it. Mind if I ask what program you used? I'd love to see a tutorial or something on how did this.
Saw this image first in your portfolio, but seeing it uploaded here definitly makes for a fav! The simplicity combined with the texture made for a really slick background, and the warriors up front makes up for some good points for embracing this game. In short, this is badass. You are badass.
